Double Exposure runs November 5 to 8, 2026 in Washington, DC. The organiser’s lodging page names two hotels, Kimpton Hotel Monaco DC at 700 F Street NW and Eaton DC at 1201 K Street NW, and states that the District charges a 15% hotel tax on all bookings. It publishes no nightly rate for either property.

One date governs the booking. Pass cancellations close Friday, October 30, with a $50 processing fee, and the passes page states that tickets are non-refundable. The room and the pass settle before that Friday.

The rate line is unquoted

The lodging page calls both rates negotiated festival discounts, offers them first come and first served, and attaches booking deadlines. It asks guests to book early because hotels run in high demand that week.

The page supplies no figure for either property. Ask for the festival rate for November 5 to 8, then apply the 15% tax to the answer.

The organiser’s travel page still points to Eaton DC as the symposium space and to a screening venue 15 to 20 minutes away on foot. The 2026 schedule runs its Forum at the Bloomberg Center and its feature films at the Navy Memorial, and the venue page lists both.

What each night carries

Thursday, November 5: the opening night screening of The Oligarch and the Art Dealer starts at 6:15 p.m. at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center, 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, with the opening night reception after it.

Friday, November 6: forum sessions run at the Bloomberg Center from 9:30 a.m., with a DX Academy masterclass from 2:45 to 4:00 p.m. Feature films run at the Burke Theater in the U.S. Navy Memorial, 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW.

Saturday, November 7: forum sessions run 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at the Bloomberg Center and at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street NW. The library’s short films are free to the public. The 9:00 p.m. block at the Navy Memorial carries Surrendered, Casa Mia and Artificial Love, each with a post-screening conversation.

Sunday, November 8: closing night, My Underground Mother, starts at 7:00 p.m. at the Navy Memorial.

October 30 is the commitment date

The passes page offers cancellations for passes through Friday, October 30. Requests go in writing. The processing fee is $50 on every cancellation, and tickets are non-refundable.

A pass bought today can be cancelled for $50 up to October 30. From October 31 the pass money stays with the festival.

The $95 pass decides the third night

The panels and workshops only pass costs $95 and covers the in-person forum. Forum hours run 9:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday. A panels-only trip needs Thursday night and Friday night. Saturday night adds nothing once the last Saturday session ends at 12:45 p.m.

The all-access pass costs $200. It adds priority entry to screenings, invitations to parties and receptions, light breakfast on November 6 and 7, and post-festival recordings of every panel. Day passes cost $100 for Friday and $100 for Saturday. The just film pass costs $85, the senior and military film pass $75, the five film pass $50, and a single forum session $25.

Passholders hold a reserved seat at each screening up to 15 minutes before the start. A portion of seats at every screening is set aside on a pay-as-you-go basis over a $5 minimum.

Sunday needs a fourth night

Three nights from November 5 check out on the morning of November 8. Sunday carries the 7:00 p.m. closing night, so a fourth night covers it.

The lodging page states no minimum stay. Anyone holding the all-access or just film pass and staying for closing night should reserve Sunday at the start.

Three venues on the downtown grid

Forum panels, workshops and select screenings run at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg Center, 555 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Feature films run in the Burke Theater at the U.S. Navy Memorial, 701 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. Shorts run at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Library, 901 G Street NW.

Washington.org’s November round-up still calls DX a virtual edition. The organiser’s own pages list three in-person venues, a two-day forum and a lodging block. Book from the organiser’s pages.

Book in this order

1. Quote the room first. Ask both named hotels for the festival rate for Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and apply the 15% tax to each answer.

2. Buy the pass by Friday, October 30. A cancellation before that date costs $50. After it, the pass money stays with the festival.

3. Release the night the pass leaves open. Panels and workshops only ends Saturday at 12:45 p.m., so Saturday night drops out of that booking.

4. Add Sunday for closing night. The 7:00 p.m. screening at the Navy Memorial falls after a Sunday checkout.

5. Price a block before signing one room contract. hotelhuddle notifies 50 or more hotels per destination in one request, and hotels answer with competing quotes in 24 to 72 hours. Most hotels require 10 or more rooms for a group rate, and groupRooms handles any size.
