A Saturday-night room and the Sunday awards show

Billy Bob's Texas hosts the 2026 Texas Country Music Awards on Sunday, 8 November. The venue lists doors at 2 p.m., the show at 7 p.m. and live music at 8 p.m. A guest holding only the Saturday night checks out that morning, hours before the doors open.

Three clocks on one Sunday

The association's release puts the VIP entrance at 2 p.m., the public doors at 2:30 p.m. and red carpet interviews from 2 p.m. The pre-show awards start at 5 p.m. The sponsorship packet dates the main ceremony at 6 p.m., and Billy Bob's lists 7 p.m. Settle the ceremony time in writing before the room is booked.

Those five hours hold the pre-show, the red carpet and the wristband lounge. A Saturday-only guest spends them on foot with the bags.

Two purchases and one credential

Billy Bob's sells the awards at $30 general admission and $45 to $125 reserved, marked On Sale Now. The VIP Lounge wristband is a second purchase and costs $25.

The association sells the wristband online through texascountrymusic.org. The order form adds a $3.50 service fee for each order. The association requires an awards ticket bought at billybobstexas.com before it takes a wristband order, and it does not sell wristbands on the day of the awards.

Collection happens at the VIP desk inside Billy Bob's after 2 p.m. on 8 November. The desk sits opposite the store, in front of the bucking bull photo op, and the wristband arrives in an envelope under the purchaser's name.

The wristband admits the holder to the VIP Lounge in the Guitar Bar. Finalists, performers, sponsors and wristband holders enter. Live music, a snack buffet and a cash bar run from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m., and the association books two performers into that window. The wristband does not admit anyone to the awards.

What the Saturday night covers

Texas Country Music Weekend runs 6 to 8 November across the Stockyards, and the programme outside Billy Bob's carries no ticket. Friday runs the TCMA Texas Country Showcase from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. with acoustic sets from member artists, then a free Monty Dawson Band concert on the Stockyards stage.

Saturday runs the Texas Country Music Showdown from morning through the day. Eight bands compete for Grand Champion, second and third, and the Stockyards supply the judges and the cash prizes. The winners are announced at the awards on Sunday. Scotty Alexander and his band play a free concert after the Showdown.

Sunday at noon brings the Christian Country Sunday Gathering, free, with Curtis Grimes and Aaron Loy.

The association puts the weekend at right at 150,000 visitors to the Stockyards in 2023, 2024 and 2025. Saturday carries the Showdown and the largest crowd of the three days.

Add the Sunday night

Ask the property for the Sunday night. Ask it to hold luggage after checkout and to state the hour a bag can be collected.

Six properties sit within 3.4 road miles of 2520 Rodeo Plaza. Courtyard by Marriott at 2537 North Main Street, 0.24 miles. Hyatt Place at 132 East Exchange Avenue, 0.29 miles. Hotel Drover at 200 Mule Alley, 0.42 miles. Stockyards Hotel at 109 East Exchange Avenue, 0.43 miles. SpringHill Suites at 2315 North Main Street, 0.54 miles. TownePlace Suites Downtown at 805 East Belknap Street, 3.4 miles.

Ask each one what it holds for 7 and 8 November, the cancellation term, and the difference a second night makes.

Parking and the Orange Line

Stockyards self-parking costs $22.50 Friday through Sunday, $17.50 on Thursday and $32.50 for 24 hours, each plus sales tax and a service fee. The lots take cards. Valet at East Exchange and Mule Alley costs $25 Friday through Sunday and $20 Monday through Thursday, with the booth open from 10 a.m. at the weekend.

Trinity Metro's Orange Line runs every 15 minutes from 5 a.m. to 1 a.m., seven days a week. It connects Fort Worth Central Station with the TEXRail North Side Station.

The tax line

Texas levies a 6 percent state hotel tax. Cities, counties and special purpose districts add local hotel tax at rates up to 7 percent, and venue projects up to 2 percent. Ask the property for the tax-inclusive nightly total on the dates held.

Put the dates out to bid

hotelhuddle sends one request to hotels in a destination. Submitting costs nothing, replies arrive in 24 to 72 hours, and the hotel pays the commission, so the quoted rate carries no markup. Group rates start at 10 rooms a night, and some properties quote from five.
