IDWeek 2026 Rate Ladder: $900 to $1,310 for Members

IDWeek 2026 runs Oct. 21 to 24 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. Registration sells through three dated windows, and the price steps twice. A member pays $900 before Aug. 1, $1,050 from Aug. 1 through Sept. 18, and $1,310 from Sept. 19 through Nov. 30. A nonmember pays $1,455, $1,610 and $1,920 across the same three windows.

In-person and virtual rates are the same at every tier. The rate page states that once.

Three Windows, Two Prices in Each

Each full-rate row carries two prices in every window. The first is the standard registration rate. The second sits under the heading Discounted Registration. For Member, Nonmember, Member Trainee and Nonmember Trainee, that second column reads $50 below the first in all three windows.

Member reads $900 and $850 at Advance, $1,050 and $1,000 at Regular, $1,310 and $1,260 at Onsite. Nonmember reads $1,455 and $1,405, then $1,610 and $1,560, then $1,920 and $1,870. Member Trainee runs $455 and $405, $480 and $430, $610 and $560. Nonmember Trainee runs $670 and $620, $700 and $650, $830 and $780.

Ten rows show a dash in the Discounted Registration column. Four of them are the Developing Country rows, and those step with the windows: $425, $505 and $685 for a member, and $710, $815 and $1,020 for a nonmember. The other six hold one price in all three windows: $50 for a member resident, $100 for a nonmember resident, $0 and $50 for the two medical student rows, and $50 and $100 for the two PhD rows.

Where the $50 Lands

The discount is tied to a room. IDWeek states that registrants in the Member, Nonmember, Member Trainee and Nonmember Trainee categories are eligible for a $50 discount on IDWeek 2026 registration when they book within the official hotel block.

The discount is applied automatically and displayed on the review and checkout page after a room reservation is completed through the registration and housing website. The room must sit inside the block. The registration must be paid through that site, because the discount appears at that site's checkout.

The resident, student and PhD rows carry no discount column to apply it to, so the block saving does not reach them.

What Each Step Costs

The Advance window closed on July 31. The first step added $150 to a member registration and $155 to a nonmember registration. The second step, at Sept. 19, added $260 for a member and $310 for a nonmember.

Across the full ladder a member pays $410 more at the onsite price than at the advance price. A nonmember pays $465 more.

The block discount is worth $50. The Sept. 19 step alone costs a member 5.2 times the discount. The two steps together cost 8.2 times. As a share of the $1,310 onsite member price, $50 is 3.8 percent.

Book the block, then register early. A member who registers early and skips the block forgoes $50. A member who books the block and registers onsite pays $410.

The Window That Is Still Open

Registration stays open through Nov. 30 at the onsite column. That is $1,310 for a member, $1,920 for a nonmember, $610 for a Member Trainee and $830 for a Nonmember Trainee. A qualifying room reservation subtracts $50 from each of those four figures.

Nov. 30 is also the last day to register for on-demand access, and recorded sessions stay available through March 31, 2027.

Onsite registration sits in the BugHub in Salon GHI. Registration hours run 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

The Refund Clock Closed First

Member refunds closed on Sept. 18. IDSA, HIVMA, SHEA and PIDS members can request a refund of registration fees only, in writing, received at Maritz no later than Sept. 18, less a $75 processing fee. Requests after that date are not accepted. Substitutions are not allowed. Nonmember registration and guest fees are nonrefundable at any date.

The refund deadline fell one day before the rate stepped to onsite. A reader paying the onsite price buys a seat that carries no refund.

The Room Side of the Decision

The block desk stopped taking changes on Oct. 6. IDWeek routes changes, cancellations and new reservations through Maritz on or before Oct. 6, 2026, subject to availability. Reservations were processed at the hotels on Oct. 8, and from Oct. 10 the instruction is to contact the hotel directly.

Official IDWeek hotels are reached through the IDWeek registration portal. No shuttle runs from them.

A reader booking a room today works with the hotel. The discount is displayed at the registration site's checkout after a room reservation is completed there. Confirm with the registration site whether a direct hotel booking still qualifies before paying the standard column.

What the Registration Covers

Registration admits the sessions and the exhibit hall in Halls A-B from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Session seats are first-come, first-served, and standing in a session room is not permitted. The opening reception runs Wednesday from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Marriott Marquis in the Marquis Ballroom and Foyer.

Guest registration covers exhibit hall admission only. It carries no live or streamed sessions and no CE credits.

Premeeting workshops sit on a second table and add to the fee. The Board Review Course runs Oct. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at $375 for a member and $475 for a nonmember. The antibiotic stewardship course runs the same day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at $300 and $400. Clinical Diagnostics runs 1 to 5 p.m. at $50 in every category.

Four Items to Settle

The category decides eligibility for the block discount, because ten of the fourteen rows carry none. The window decides the base price, and Sept. 19 was the last step. The room decides the $50, and the block desk closed on Oct. 6. The refund closed on Sept. 18, so a member planning to cancel has no route.

Registration stays open through Nov. 30 at the onsite price, and the rate cannot step again.
