One seat, five prices

The Washington Ballet publishes a group price ladder for The Nutcracker that changes with the day of the week. The company opens the run at the Warner Theatre on Nov. 28, 2026, and closes it on Dec. 27, 2026, with 34 performances and a running time of about two hours.

The group form on the company's site lists every level before the group discount.

Where the $159 and the $49 sit

Three day types carry the lowest rung. Tuesday, Wednesday and Sunday evening performances price Level 1 at $159, Level 2 at $129, Level 3 at $99, Level 4 at $79 and Level 5 at $49.

Tuesday has three dates: Dec. 1 and Dec. 15 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 22. Wednesday has four: Dec. 2, 9 and 16 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 23 at 6 p.m. Sunday evening has five: Nov. 29, Dec. 6, Dec. 13, Dec. 20 and Dec. 27, all at 6 p.m. That is twelve performances on the $159 to $49 ladder.

Thursday evening and Saturday evening step up one rung. Both price Level 1 at $170, Level 2 at $140, Level 3 at $111, Level 4 at $83 and Level 5 at $51. Thursday carries Dec. 3, 10 and 17 at 7 p.m., plus two performances on Dec. 24 at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. Saturday evening carries Nov. 28 at 7 p.m. and Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 7 p.m.

What the top rung buys

Friday evenings and both matinee slots price Level 1 at $180, Level 2 at $150, Level 3 at $121, Level 4 at $93 and Level 5 at $61. Friday carries Dec. 4, 11 and 18 at 7 p.m. Saturday matinees run Dec. 5, 12, 19 and 26 at 2 p.m. Sunday matinees run Nov. 29, Dec. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at 1 p.m.

The spread between the rungs is $21 a seat at Level 1 and $12 a seat at Level 5. Ten guests on a Wednesday evening against ten on a Saturday matinee save $210 at Level 1 and $120 at Level 5.

The group discount applies to the form price

The form labels each ladder before the group discount. Parties of 10 to 15 take 10 percent. Parties of 15 to 20 take 15 percent. Parties of 20 or more take 20 to 25 percent. The company quotes a minimum of 10 people and ticket prices as low as $41.

On a Wednesday evening at Level 1, the $159 seat becomes $143.10 at 10 percent, $135.15 at 15 percent, $127.20 at 20 percent and $119.25 at 25 percent. At Level 5 the $49 seat becomes $44.10, $41.65, $39.20 and $36.75. Twenty guests at Level 1 on that evening come to $3,180 at the form price, $2,544 at 20 percent and $2,385 at 25 percent.

Two terms travel with the discount. The parties-of-20 bracket is 20 to 25 percent, so the exact rate comes back in the offer. The form also asks for a preferred price range per seat, from $41 to $60 through $101 to $120.

The deposit and the payment date

A 15 percent non-refundable deposit reserves the seats. All payments must be paid two weeks before the performance. The company sets flexible payment plans up with the group, and the form asks how the party prefers to pay: a secure payment link or a phone call, and a full balance or a schedule of installments.

Orders of 15 or more tickets, and any purchase spanning multiple dates, must be picked up at Will Call. That term matters, because the Warner Theatre runs mobile entry and does not email or print tickets. A group of 15 or more should plan the pickup at the box office on the day of the show and carry identification.

Two clocks that do not match

The group form lists Dec. 22 at 6 p.m. The performance calendar on the same page lists Dec. 22 at 7:00 p.m. The form asks the client to choose that date. Confirm the curtain time with the box office before the deposit goes in, because the deposit is non-refundable.

Three dates need reading off the calendar. Dec. 23 starts at 6 p.m. rather than 7 p.m. Dec. 24 carries two performances, at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., which suits a party that wants Christmas Eve free. Dec. 25 has no performance, and Dec. 8 has none either, so a Tuesday request on that date returns nothing.

Getting ten people to 513 13th Street

The Warner Theatre sits at 513 13th Street NW, Washington, DC 20004. Metro Center is a two-minute walk, served by the Red, Orange, Blue and Silver lines. A parking garage attaches to the Warner Building and is operated by Metropolis, with its entrance on 12th Street between E and F Streets NW.

The house admits small bags up to 12 by 6 by 12 inches and searches every bag at the door. Payment inside the theatre runs cashless. Give the group those two rules before the night.

The order of operations

Pick the performance date off the calendar, read the ladder for that day type, then apply the party size to the discount bracket. Send the group request through the form. The company routes group questions to its patron services team at tickets@washingtonballet.org. Put the deposit down, then hold the rooms.

hotelhuddle.com notifies 50 or more hotels in the destination city from one request, drawn from a network of 103,857 hotels. Hotels answer with competing rate quotes in 24 to 72 hours. The request is free to submit, and no commission is added to the booking rate; hotels pay a separate commission on accepted bookings.

The ballet's deposit is non-refundable, so the date has to be right before the money moves. Put the flexible term on the room.
