How to book the SCI rate with the Omni already full

Safari Club International runs its 2027 convention at Music City Center, 201 Rep. John Lewis Way S, from Wednesday, January 20, to Saturday, January 23, 2027. The organiser prints counters of 18,000+ attendees and 950+ exhibitors on its home page. Its hotel page lists ten properties, and one card carries a sold-out banner. Nine properties remain open, and every one of the nine sits within 0.4 miles of the hall.

The SCI rate reaches a booking through two routes. Book through one of the hotel links on the SCI hotels page and the rate applies at checkout, with the hotel confirmation email showing it. Book by telephone and name the block. The page prints the script: ask for "Room Block SCI 2027" or "I Am With Safari Club International Room Block".

The Omni is closed, and the page rules out a waitlist

The Omni Nashville at 250 Fifth Ave South sits 0.2 miles from Music City Center on a 6-minute walk. Its card carries a banner in place of a booking link. The banner reads: Omni Nashville Hotel is SOLD OUT for the 2027 SCI Convention. Please note that there is no waitlist or additional room availability.

One route stays open to a guest who already holds an Omni reservation made outside the official link. Call the hotel, give the confirmation number, and ask for a move into the SCI block. The page describes that switch as possible, and the FAQ calls it not guaranteed.

Nine hotels inside 0.4 miles

Each open card prints a street address, a telephone number, a distance and a walk time. The nine open properties follow in the walk-time order the page uses.

Embassy Suites — 708 Demonbreun St, 615-736-7100. 0.1 mile, 1-minute walk.

JW Marriott — 201 8th Ave S, 615-291-8600. 280 feet, 1-minute walk.

Westin Nashville — 807 Clark Pl, 615-248-2800. 0.1 mile, 3-minute walk.

The Joseph — 401 Korean Veterans Blvd, 615-248-1990. 0.2 miles, 4-minute walk.

The Drury Plaza — 300 Korean Veterans Blvd, 615-259-7881. 0.2 miles, 4-minute walk.

Hilton Nashville Downtown — 121 4th Ave S, 615-620-1000. 0.2 miles, 5-minute walk.

Hyatt Place Nashville — 301 3rd Ave S, 615-687-9995. 0.4 mile, 7-minute walk.

Grand Hyatt Nashville — 1000 Broadway, 615-622-1234. 0.4 miles, 9-minute walk.

Renaissance Hotel — 611 Commerce St, 615-255-8400. 0.4 miles, 10-minute walk.

The JW Marriott distance prints as a malformed string on SCI's own page, with a tilde and a leading period ahead of the number. The walk time beside it reads 1 minute, and 280 feet fits a one-minute walk.

Two doors one minute from the hall

Embassy Suites and the JW Marriott both print a 1-minute walk. Embassy Suites stands at 708 Demonbreun St, 0.1 mile out. The JW Marriott sits 280 feet out on 8th Avenue South. A guest at either property reaches the hall doors in about a minute.

The Westin Nashville prints 3 minutes on 807 Clark Place. The Joseph and the Drury Plaza print 4 minutes each on Korean Veterans Boulevard.

No published rate, no cut-off, no minimum night

The hotels page prints addresses, telephones, distances and walk times for all ten properties. It carries no nightly rate, no block release date, no attrition clause and no minimum-night rule.

That absence sets the booking order. A guest needs the official link or the block name, and a credit card, because the FAQ says most hotels hold the reservation with a card at booking. Parking exists onsite or nearby at every partner hotel at a property-set price. Early check-in and late check-out are requests to the hotel, granted on availability. Changes and cancellations run through the hotel, and SCI states that it does not manage individual reservations.

The refund window closes January 4

Registration carries four paid tiers through December 1, 2026. The 4-Day Classic Registration costs $385. The 3-Day pass costs $340, the 2-Day pass $275 and the 1-Day pass $155, and each shorter pass requires a day selection from Wednesday through Saturday. Youth badges for ages 0-12 and 13-17 cost nothing beside a paid adult registration.

Refunds on registration badges and event tickets stop at midnight Central on January 4, 2027. That date falls 16 days before the convention opens. Requests go to SCI customer service at (210) 985-4868 or 1 (888) 746-9724, option Events/Convention, or to refunds@safariclub.org.

A room beyond the block

hotelhuddle takes a group request through one form and sends it to hotels in the destination. Submission costs nothing, 50-plus hotels per request receive it, and responses arrive in 24 to 72 hours. The guest pays the hotel directly, and the platform adds no markup to the rate.

The four-day hall pass and the room booking run on separate clocks. Register before December 1 to take the $385 rate, book the room while the nine cards still carry a booking link, and keep January 4 in view for the refund decision.
